100 List Challenge: Through the Fire

The Crying Traveler
Nakh winced as an ember hit him on the shoulder. They could hear the victorious cheers of the outside people who did this to them. He held Kal closer, hoping none of the fire touched him.

"The fire is getting bigger, Nakh," Kal said worriedly. "What are we going to do?"

"Don't worry, cherry, I got you," Nakh reassured him. "I'll get us out of here."

Hopefully, he added inwardly.

Love of the Damned
"Thilius? Thilius, wake up!"

Thilius was unconscious, his body slowly healing from the fire that burnt through his flesh. Faira's wings and his bodily glow kept the fire from touching the both of them.

"Thilius, it's me, Faira. Wake up!" Faira urged as he patted the demon's cheeks. He looked at the chains, wondering how he was going to get them off him when a huge dark shadow stood before them.

"Well, well, well, fancy meeting a dove here."

Faira turned around to see themselves surrounded by more demons, smiling wickedly as they circled him like a wolf on prey, and leading them was a huge half-man-half-goat demon, one of the higher levels of the Guards of Hell.

"Looks like the Big Guy decided to give us a present," the Guard growled. "What shall we do with him, boys and girls?"

As the demons listed out all the torture methods they could have so much fun on Fai, Fai shivered, wondering if he had done the right thing being here.

A/N:
In Nakh-Kal's scene, they were betrayed by the village that took them in thanks to the seduction of the reward money of their bounty. They waited until they went into the forest on a pretense to ask them a favour of helping them get firewood and set fire to the whole forest, in hope that they will burn them to death before collecting the bounty promised by Kal's clansmen.

They made it out to safety, of course, quite badly singed but more or less alright, thanks to the help of one of the village people who took a liking in them. She led them out far back to the outfields, telling them to go and never look back, leaving the village people to wonder how did they escape.

In Thili-Fai scene, this takes place before "Break Away" where Thilius was punished for falling in love with Faira. Faira braved through the hellfire to try and rescue Thilius, and had to battle tooth and nail all by himself, sustaining quite a bit of damage, with the demons to get out of the damned place.

He tried nursing him to health, which led to the "Fortitude" scene in which their relationship was found and to the "Break Away" and later the "Heal" scene
